Hey there, Karen N here from Craftily Yours. Eek, could this stamp set from Lawn Fawn BE any cuter?! Seriously! And this paper is SO perfect for the masculine cards! I used it to make a Father's Day cards for my husband and my father.

On this first one for my dad, I used a Tim Holtz stars layering stencil and some Gesso mixed with Adirondack Denim color-wash to create the stars. I decided it looked like a rustic blue, so then I tore the paper to create the layers and used my Diztress-It-All to distress up the edges. The Timeless Twine in Natural seemed like the perfect finish.

And I had a BUNCH of the gesso mixture left, so I used an UmWow Studio stencil to add some hearts to my husband's distressed-up card. In this one, some 3 Girl JAM burlap ribbon finished it up.

Both images are colored with Tim Holtz distress watercolor markers.

Craftily yours,

Karen

Friday fun-day!!

Hi everyone, Lynda here to share with you a little project I made using the wonderful Lawn Fawn You float my boat stamp set and some of the paper from the Authentique Anchored paper line.

These products and much more can be found in the

To create my card I first stamped the sentiment onto some plain white cardstock and then diecut the sentiment out.  I then diecut the white tag.  Both were then inked along the edges.  I then stamped the life preserver three times in red, black, and blue ink.  I then fussy cut them out and inked along the edges of them as well.  I then covered my card base with this wonderful stripped pattern paper.  I then went about assembling the tag.  I added the sentiment strip and decided it needed a little something else, so I went back to the same three ink colors and added the tiny hearts above the flag.  I then added each of the life preservers to the card using foam tape.  I then decided to doodle the stitch lines along the edge.

(this would make a cute Project Life card if you just left the white tag alone and did not pop up the life preservers!)

This is a great card for any occasion that you need to say thank you, but especially for Father's Day that is coming up....and speaking of Father's Day....there is still time to create a project following that theme and link it up on the challenge this week.

Hi everyone, Doris here to share a few
quick cards I made for a pocket page layout.
Even though the Authentique Anchored paper line
has a nautical theme, the papers worked great for this layout.
This picture is from my daughter Amy's wedding this past
December during the father/daughter dance, and
my husband was just dreading this part of the wedding.
They both got emotional as soon as the music.
How could it be that she was all grown up
and not the little girl who used to hold his hand?
Where's my tissue?
I used three images from the Silhouette store for
the layout to keep the cards flat - I love that mason jar!

This layout took no time at all - hope you like it!
