Weekly Challenge #4 - Thursday

Weekly Challenge #4 Tuesday, January 29th thru February 4th.
Create a Valentine using a stamp.
(you don't need to use an A Muse stamp to enter)

I have a great project to show you today. Our assignment was to create a Valentine using a stamp and I have a really cute project. I am having my elementary and preschool grandchildren over on Valentine's Day for breakfast. So, I wanted to invite them in a very special way. So, I decided to mail them an invitation.
I used a round canister type container I had hanging around my scrapbook room, wrapped it with the A Muse paper, used the stamps on it, wrapped the twine around it. Then, I used a dollar store doily and my computer to generate the wording for the invitation. I intended to include some candy in there and totally forgot... Last, I headed off to the PO and mailed the canister off to my grandchildren.

Supplies Used:
round canister
A Muse paper and twine
A Muse Stamp Set: "At First Sight"
Dollar Store doily
Computer invitation wording cut into a heart

CBD Animal Antics Challenge

Animal Antic Challenge
January 30th thru February 5th
Hello Crafty World. This is Tammy and it's my turn to host the challenge over at Crafting by Designs. I'm happy to bring you a new challenge this week. The theme is animal antics and your creations should have an animal on it.
I have been taken an on-line card class call Clean and Simple Card Making 2. One day one one of the techniques was to create a mask out of plastic and place it on the front of the card. Ink the area with a bright ink and use white embossing powder over the top. I like the result.
I cut out a squirrel using my cricut. Then I used a sticker and a few heart rhinestones up in the corner.
Now's your chance to create something using an animal. I can't wait to see what you create.   Stop by Crafting by Designs to enter your creation.

Weekly Challenge #3 - Thursday

Weekly Challenge #3 Tuesday, January 22th thru January 28th.
Color Challenge use Pink, Gray and White in your creation.

Hey crafters:
I hope everyone is having a great week, I know I am! The weather here in Florida is gorgeous right now. I hope all of you where it is cold, are staying warm and using this time to get crafty!!
This week our challenge is to use Pink, Gray and White. Below is the layout I did for this challenge.

SUPPLIES:
Pink heart and white heart paper- A Muse
Pink and white straws- AMuse
Crystal gems-AMuse
The 12x12 base paper is just white cardstock from DCWV.
I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad from Ranger. The color is Weathered Wood.
I used my cricut to cut the title. The Baby and Girl were cut using the New Arrivals cartridge.
The lace, paper lace and little ceramic figure were bits I had in my stash.
These adorable pictures are of my "baby girl". She is 28 now, but I thought the colors for this challenge were perfect to showcase My Baby Girl.

I hope you all get the opportunity to enter the challenge this week.

Have a safe and crafty day!!!

CBD - Polka-Dot Challenge

Hello everyone, it's Tammy here and today it's my turn to post the challenge at Crafting by Designs This week we are looking for

Polka - Dots

Here's what I created to give you a little inspiration.  I started with just some old blue card stock and gave it the polka-dot back ground in bubble gum pink.  Then I used the "that's the ticket" stamp set and coordinating die for the tickets.  I used the "sending my love" stamp set for the light bulb and one of the tickets.  I created the pocket by hand and outlined it with a white marker.  A Muse Studio has some clear circle stickers that are 1.5" and I used one over top of the light bulb to give it a glossy look.

I used one of the extra tickets and a strip of polka dot paper to add a little to the inside.

Our sponsor for this challenge is A Muse Studio.  The prize will be one stamp set you your choice from the current catalog.

Hope this gives you an idea and you can build your own wonder full creation using Polka-Dots and enter our challenge.  You have until Tuesday, January 29th to submit your creation.  You need to submit your creations HERE.

Thanks for playing along this week and I can't wait to see your wonderful creations.

Challenge Week #3 - Tuesday

Weekly Challenge #3 Tuesday, January 22th thru January 28th.
Color Challenge use Pink, Gray and White in your creation.

Hello Crafty world.  This is Tammy and I'm really excited to bring you a new challenge.  I'm really into treat boxes right now and decided to create one to give away for Valentine's Day.

The idea started while picking up some valentines candy at the store.  I was looking for items with pink and gray or white.  I used A Muse Studio Bubblegum Polka Dot paper to cut out this popcorn box.

I used the Quick and Cute Valentines stamp set for the thief.  Then I used the Vintage Labels stamp set and matching die cut set to cut the label out.  Then wrapped the box with  some slate gray bakers twine.

Now it's your turn to join the fun and create something special using the colors Pink, Grey and White.

Weekly Challenge #2 - Saturday

Weekly Challenge #2 Tuesday, January 15th thru January 21th.
Use Hearts or Love in your creation.

Hi! Kim here from Card-E-ology with a surprisingly easy card using a heart AND love! Let's take a look, shall we?

Supplies:
Stamps: At First Sight & Chirrup by A Muse Studio
Ink: Onyx & Pebble by A Muse Studio
Paper: Seattle & Sugar solid CS and Grapefruit Chevron CS by A Muse Studio
Accessories: Big Heart Die Set, Multi Mini Dots Twinkle Stickers, and Baker's Twine in Onyx/White by A Muse Studio

For this card, I used the large heart die and cut the heart out of the chevron cardstock, and attached the negative to the solid Seattle cardstock. Love is part of the Big Heart Die Set, too, so I cut that from white cardstock. On a white scrap, I stamped the bird cage from Chirrup and cut it out carefully. I tried using a thumb tack to pierce a large enough hole at the top of the bird cage, but it wasn't large enough for the Baker's Twine to pass through. I then chose a 1/16 hole punch and that did the trick! To add some dimension, the bird cage is popped forward with dimensional adhesive.

Weekly Challenge #2 - Thursday

Weekly Challenge #2 Tuesday, January 15th thru January 21th.
Use Hearts or Love in your creation.

Hi everyone, Doris here from Moms Been Scrappin and I'm so excited to share a project for this week's challenge here on Cuttin' and Stampin'! We may have just started the new year, but Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and I'm getting a head start on my cards.

This challenge is to use hearts or the word "love" in your projects.
I've been playing with some products from A Muse Studio and
here's a few cards made with them to give you some inspiration:

This may look complicated but was really easy to do! I used the big heart die to cut the shape in the front of my card base, then added a piece of plain white cardstock underneath; I added a light layer of adhesive then followed the outline of the heart shape and added some bakers cording until the shape was filled in. The sentiment was made by cutting two love die cuts and layering them, and just a little bling to finish it off.

Clean and simple is my go-to style for making most of my cards, and I usually start off by looking thru my scraps drawer. These pieces of cardstock from the A Muse cherry heartbreaker collections were perfect for a CAS card. I cut them each at 1" x 3" and used a square punch to make the banner shape at the end of each piece. A little piece of cherry and white bakers twine and a sentiment from the love me do stamp set and I was done!

Ok, your turn - I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Weekly Challenge #2 - Tuesday

Weekly Challenge #2 Tuesday, January 15th thru January 21th.
Use Hearts or Love in your creation.

Hello, this is Teresa Kaufhold from www.createenjoyshare.blogspot.com and today is my first "official" post for the Cuttin' and Stampin' Weekly Challenge Blog! I sure hope you will join in and craft along with us!

This is my very first time using Amuse Studio Products and I am SOLD!

I had the opportunity to use their stamps, paper and twine for this project and I must tell you they are of the highest quality! I am so impressed and so very pleased to be on Tammy's team and have the opportunity to create with such fantastic products!

Let's take a quick peek at my project and then I will give you more detail.

This little box was cut from the Cricut Cartridge called Tags,Bags, Boxes and More 2. It is called a "candy box" but my daughter thought it looked like a cigarette case! That is so not the image I was going for! Instead of candy (or cigarettes!) I chose to fill this with little love notes!
I cut the box out of Amuse Studio paper called Slate -
and I just love this paper! It is nice and thick and the colors are lovely!
I then used the Amuse Studio Patterned Cardstock in
"bubblegum heartbreaker" to cut a "belly band" and wrapped it around my box. I layered that with a strip of cardstock and stamped the "XOXO" from one of the Amuse Studio Stamp Sets called
"Love Is In The Air". I was so impressed with the quality of the stamps!
From the same stamp set (found in the current 2013 Valentine's Day Catalog from Amuse)
I stamped the heart in a star burst pattern and attached it to a scallop flower shape.
For the top of my box, I stamped Happy Valentine's Day, again from the stamp set
"Love Is In The Air".
I thought it would be fun to add in little love notes inside the box, so I cut 4 pieces of Amuse Grapefruit cardstock and rounded the edges. I then layered small pieces of slate cardstock on top of that, first tying on some of the Amuse Bakers Cording in Blush.
I love the weight and the feel of this bakers twine!
I stamped on each of the pieces of Slate cardstock a sweet sentiment, again from the "Love Is In The Air" stamp set! You sure can get a lot of use out of this ONE Set!
missing you
with love
be mine

love is in the air

I thought this would be a unique way to present a Valentine -- all in a neat little package!
Thank you so much for visiting with me today and please play along with us.
Here is a final look at my finished project:

I know once you try Amuse Products, you'll be back for more!

Weekly Challenge #1 Saturday

Weekly Challenge #1 Tuesday, January 8th thru January 14th.

Use Twine and Straws in your creation.

Hello this is Teresa R from Fresh and Renewed.  I am so excited to share my twine and straw creation with you today. Have you ever had a thought in your head and weren't sure if you could actually execute it or not? Well, that is exactly what happened with this creation. So my idea came out very similar to what I had in my head. I am extremely pleased with how it came out.

close up of the center

I used a luncheon sized paper plate a cut a circle out of the dark grey solid paper. Then I began gluing straws in an alternating pattern; grey, pink...around in a circle like spokes. I then used a heart shaped doily as the middle to cover up my boo-boos...they were not quite even! Then I cut this cute cupid from Sweethearts Cricut cartridge at about 4.5." I layered it with the various A Muse studio papers. Then I used another A Muse studio pattern paper to cut a larger circle for a background. I also cut the word love to glue as a sentiment across the bottom straws. I took the A Muse twine both the pink and the grey and wove them in and out the straws to just add another layer. Then, I hot glued some ribbon ( I had some pink froo-froo ribbon that fit perfectly) to the back as my hanger. This is going to serve as my Valentine wreath to hang on my front door.

Weekly Challenge #1 Thursday

Weekly Challenge #1 Tuesday, January 8th thru January 14th.
Use Twine and Straws in your creation.

Hi! Janet here from Janet's Creative World to share my project for the challenge! I used A Muse products and must admit this was my first time to use them! I love them! Where’s the love button on my blog? Anyway, I used Twine, Straws and the Love Me Do stamp set.
Check my card out!

DSC03175
I used a Gray 8 1/2 x 11 piece for the card base. What is really nice is that the back side is white, so when I cut the sheet in half, and fold my card, I can write in it! No need to add a white card for my note. How handy is that? I used a Pink Heart background paper cut to 4 x 5 1/4 as a mat. Cut out a Heart (Silhouette store) on similar background paper. I wrapped the gray twine around the heart then made this cute arrow (Silhouette store) and put the feathered end and point end onto a straw. It looks like the heart has already been captured doesn’t it? I stamped hubba hubba (from the Love Me Do stamp set) so now that I’ve captured someone’s heart we all know what’s in store, don’t we?
That’s a post for another day… LOL Check out all the A Muse products and have a wonderful Valentine’ Day!
