Challenge: Use a Photo
May 28 - June 3, 2013

Hi all! Its me Pam.. Back after a long break. We are using photos in our challenge this week and here is what I made:

It is a little difficult to see the picture... This is a snow globe I got for 10 cents. It has shamrocks all over it. I used Mod Podge and paper to turn it into a princess snow globe. The picture is my youngest daughter on her 10th birthday.

Challenge:   Use a Photo
May 28 - June 3, 2013

Hello Everyone.

This week Tammy asked us to use a photo. Well that's easy for me since I mostly scrapbook and only make cards on rare occasions.
This layout is using a photo my boyfriend took in the Rocky Mountains last summer.

The little bird at the top and the fern on the left are wood veneers. This was the first time I have used them. I sprayed the fern with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I love the way it looks all glimmery!! The butterfly is from Prima. The accent paper pieces on the right are all from Graphic 45. The strip across the top and the brown mounting piece are DCWV.

I hope you are all enjoying some warmer weather finally! Have a great weekend. Get out there, get inspired and get crafty!!

Challenge:   Use a Photo
May 28 - June 3, 2013

Hello Everyone. Teresa R. here! I absolutely love scrapbooking. It is such a passion for me. I would like to share the reason why I scrapbook with you. Growing up as a kid my parents did not take a whole lot of photos at all...of course that was the day of expensive film developing as well...so, we had a less than normal amount of photos lying around than most people do anyhow. Well, due to an unfortunate series of events my mom's photos got transported with her sister to Minnesota...my aunt passed and well those photos lay in someone's attic in a farmhouse in MN. What I would not give to have those photos back! So, I only have 3 photos of my childhood and only have 2 photos of my mom...so I vowed not to let that happen in my family. I tend to go overboard with most things I do so scrapbooking is really important to me. I need a whole room for supplies...which I have...but I also need a whole room for completed scrapbook albums which I don't have. They are in transition right now as I try to find a place for them.

I have been working extremely hard lately to try and get current in my annual scrapbooks. This layout is a very cute picture my daughter posted on Facebook one day of my grandson...I knew I just had to snag it and scrapbook that picture.

I used a coveted line of paper from Basic Grey called Origins. I fell in love with this paper several years ago when it came out but I was unable to get any of it. Recently, my girlfriend Daphne presented me with a whole little package of it as a surprise. I was so extremely excited and it was just the perfect paper for this layout!

Thanks so much for listening to me ramble on. I will leave you with this one little tip...cherish those photographs of your families memories cause one day they could be gone!

Challenge:   Use a Bike

Dates:  May 21-27,  2013

Hello Everyone.  Doris here today with my project for this week's challenge.  I decided to use an image that I printed and cut on my Silhouette Cameo and went from there:

Some Stickles on the spokes gave it a little sparkle, and some Glossy Accents on the heart balloons added to the dimension along with a few blingy butterflies.  June is a big birthday month in my family, so I added a little birthday sentiment and I was done!

Challenge:  Use a Bike

Dates:  May 21-27, 2013

TGIF, everyone!   This is Kim from Card-E-ology here with another fun bicycle card.   It's perfect timing for a card like this one, too, since my husband just got himself a bike last weekend.   We think it'll be a perfect way for him to get out and get a little bit of exercise.

This card features a new technique for me:  stamping over an area painted with acrylic paint.   Here it is:

The stamps on this card are from Hero Arts, and the papers are from My Mind's Eye.  I added a little bit of bling on the flowers and the polka-dot strip to dress things up.   Rounded corners add some visual interest.

Challenge:   Use a Bike

Dates:  May 21-27,  2013

Hello Everyone.  Teresa R. here from over at Fresh and Renewed. I scrapbook a mixture of whatever inspires me  along with a little dab of chronological scrapping. Cause they HAVE to go in those albums in a very orderly fashion...heehee. So today, I have a layout from Easter 2011. It was a very special one cause both of my children that live here were there. That does not always happen. Well, I hope you like the layout and get inspired to "take a ride" down memory lane!

I used Echo Park's Sweet Day Collection for this layout along with some bling and pearl embellishments.

Challenge:   Use a Bike

Dates:  May 21-27,  2013

Hello Everyone,

I just love daffodils. I found this cute Die-Cut of a bike and thought it went perfectly with my daffodil photos.

The paper I used is from Close to My Heart. It is so easy to use their paper packs because everything just goes together so nicely.

I hope you are either enjoying some sunny weather today, or you find a little ray of sunshine in my layout.

Have a great mid-week and don't forget to share your bike ideas with us!

Get out and be inspired!!

Dates:  May 21-27,  2013

Hello Everyone.

Our hearts are heavy with sorrow for all of those affected by the tornadoes in Oklahoma.  We pray that they find the strength and will power to endure and move forward.

This is Tammy and I'm running a little late on today's post.  This weeks challenge is to use a bike in your creation.  Well, I had my challenges mixed up and did the thing.  Here is a quick card I created a while back.  It was my first attempt at using misters.

The design team will have more great inspiration pieces posted throughout the week so be sure to check back.

Challenge:   Shaped Cards

Dates:  May 14-20,  2013

Teresa R. again here with a shaped card. I needed a quick birthday card so what better image than a birthday cake and a chocolate one at that! So here is my cake card. The image is cut out and placed on top of the shadow cut so that it has a card look to it. I will write the message on the back of the shadow cut with a white pen. Easy, peasy card to do!

Challenge:   Shaped Cards

Dates:  May 14-20,  2013

TGIF!! It's Janet here today and I want to share a shaped card I made for some décor to celebrate Mother's Day at my dining site for Seniors and the Disabled. Take a look:
It's a Tea Pot from Creative Kuts and I added a pearl on the lid, and a tag with the word Mom cutout of the side. I added some paper flowers from a collection at Hobby Lobby, and wrote a little note to all the ladies at lunch to have a wonderful Mother's Day last Friday. The lattice pulls down to open the card, but I glued it since it was décor. One of my clients must have liked it, since they walked off with it.. Check out  my blog for some additional details if you want. http://janetscreativeworld.blogspot.com/

Challenge:   Shaped Cards

Dates:  May 14-20,  2013

Teresa R. here from over at Fresh and Renewed. I have another shaped card for you today. Haven't the other ones this week been absolutely lovely? Well, mine is very simple and did not exactly turn out like I had envisioned, however, it is going in a box I am sending to my daughter in Oregon. The theme of the box is "Here's your Florida Sunshine." So I hope you enjoy this very simple, easy to make card....maybe you could even think of a way for me to make this card a little better.

I cut out the sun from Hello Kitty Greetings at 6". The base of the card is the blackout cut welded together at the very tip top. I outlined the face cuts with a Stampin' Up orange marker. Then, I outlined the edges of the sun with a gold glitter Gelly Roll pen. (you cannot see this in my image.)

Challenge:   Shaped Cards

Dates:  May 14-20,  2013

Hello Crafty Friends!  Teresa K here, from Create Enjoy Share with a Shaped Card for you today!
Here is a card I made for my daughter who is graduating from COLLEGE!
I am so proud of her!
Let's take a look at the card, then I'll tell you about it!

I found this skyline of Boston (where she goes to school) in the Silhouette store and to create my card, I welded a rectangle to the skyline shape.
I used a Sky/cloud patterned paper to back the inside of the card at the top, and a plain white piece of cardstock at the bottom for my sentiment. I added a thin ribbon for interest.
(Here is the Inside of card, opened up as you would read it)
I have more details and photos on my blog and would love for you to swing over there and check it out!
