Blog Hop - Orange Team Intro

 Blog Hop Blinkie

February 1, 2014
Blog Hop Day 2

Can you believe Cuttin' and Stampin' Challenge Blog has been going for over a year now? It has gone by so fast and we have had so much fun creating and sharing projects with you.  Starting the first of the year we decided to make a few changes.  These changes include bringing you different types of projects, and to do that we needed increase the number of members on the team.  We also decided to split the team in to two.

We hope you will all enjoy the great new variety of project you are about to see from the Orange team.  Today we are also helping to support Paper Smooches and their 3rd Anniversary, so all of our projects will have a Paper Smooches stamp set on them.

I'm going to start you off with a few projects I've been working on.  I've been in a few pocket card swaps and have been using my stamps to liven up my cards.

The first card is for the heading Snow Much Fun.  So I used the Paper Smooches Swanky Snowdudes stamp set and matching die to cut out my little guy.  Then I gave him a little color with the Copic markers.  I used white flocking on the sentiment to give it a little touch of snow.

The next card I created was for the animal prints category.  I used the Paper Smooches Zoo Crew stamp set and matching die for the zebra and the A Muse Studio Go Wild stamp set for the sentiment and background.  I then used some glossy accents for the eyes and tail.  The boarder around the card was created with the Lifestyles die set.  I angled the square die just a little so it was of kilter some.   I went over the Go Wild with a Copic Glitter pen to add a little sparkle.

Now it's time to Meet the rest of the Orange Team.  They are an awesome bunch of women and I'm sure you will enjoy what they have to show you.

Your next stop is Madge with The Scrappin Lounge

Be sure to stop by each of them and welcome them to our 2014 Design Team.  We will have a drawing for each day of the hop.  Just leave a comment below and at each stop along the way.  We will announce blog winners on Friday along with our regular weekly winners.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Blog Hop 2014 Green Team Intro

January 31, 2014

It has gone by so fast and we have had so much fun creating and sharing projects with you.  Starting the first of the year we decided to make a few changes.  These changes include bringing you different types of projects, and to do that we needed increase the number of members on the team.  We also decided to split the team in to two.

We hope you will all enjoy the great new variety of project you are about to see from the Green team.  I'm going to start you off with an on going calendar I've been working on.  I really like using the different products to create.

I used some white embossing glaze with a Heidi Swapp mask to create the floating hearts.  The paper is from the Crate Paper Love Notes collection The chipboard hearts are from Um Wow Studios and I used 4 different colors of Dylusion Sprays to color them.

I used a Jaded Blossom Stamp set to create the calendar and stamp the month.

I used the Paper Smooches Always and Forever die set.  I left the Always as the shadow cut and curled the paper up a little bit.  the & and forever where cut after the paper was attached to some foam tape.  I also arranged the red heart paper so that it looked like the forever is coming through the paper.

Now it's time to Meet the rest of the Green Team.  They are an awesome bunch of women and I'm sure you will enjoy what they have to show you.

There will also be other blog candy along the way! Make sure you return to Jenn's Blog and link up to be in the drawing for the goodies :)

For my project I wanted to create something I could use for the season as well as have the mushroom.  I have a Gnome Digital stamp set and kept seeing this great mushroom with a little snow on top.

I took the Gnome and gave him a little color with a star bling on the end of his hat.

I’m not great with flocking so I took some Star Dust Stickles and outlined the mushroom and the cloud for a little sparkle.  I used shimmer paper for the snow and cloud.  The blue background is from Basic Grey and the card based is Cherry card stock from A Muse Studio.

Here are the Copic markers I used

I used the Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge to create the flower.  I sprayed the middle with some Tattered Angeles golden sparkle. I distressed the edges of the leaves with some pumpkin and cherry A Muse Studio ink.

I thought it needed something inside besides the stamp.  I used the stamp set Autum Days for both the front and inside.

You should have come from Cathy's Blog.

I used Dr. Checkup and Street Signs to create this quick little project.

I took this picture of my son and his girlfriend while we were in California at a rugby tournament.  The base is a sheet of 6x6 paper The sucker is cut at 3 1/4"  I used my gypsy for the alphabet and welded the letters together.  I'm going to find a nice frame and give it to the kids this weekend.

Most of you know that my husband and I took a long ride on our motorcycle.  We went with another couple and had a blast.  We took a lot of pictures and for Christmas this year I'm creating a mini album of the trip for the other couple.  So, over the next few months I will be post different pages as I get them finished.

I used Summer Vacation, Old West, Playground Equipment and County Fair cricut cartridges.

I started with a Bo Bunny mini album.  Here's the front page.

I used a second piece of paper and and cut out some of the signs and popped them up.

One of our stops was the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody, WY.  There are a lots of interactive things to play on. Everyone had to take a turn sitting on the wooden saddle.

Here is the bouncy horse from the Playground Equipment cartridge.  I should have used an action wobbly, but didn't think of it soon enough.

I really liked this stripped paper when it was sitting on the table.  I'm not so sure it works so well cut out in words.  Will be something to think about and maybe change before I give it away.

There was a wall of felt hats for people to try on.  Here are the guys trying them on.  The Wanted Sign is off the County Fair cartridge.  I used a silver brad to hang the sign and shimmer silver paper for the barrel of the gun.

I'm having fun creating this little album of our trip.   I hope you enjoy seeing our fun pictures and they bring a smile to your face.
