Challenge #48

#48
Challenge:  Color Challenge
Red, White, Kraft and Black

December 3rd - 9th, 2013

Hey everyone...Lynda here from Positive Force to share with you another project or two based on our theme for this week; which is a color combination theme.  Red, White, Kraft, and black!!!

We are using the wonderful Nordic Pines collection from Bazzill Basics.

So first I decided that I had to pull out the Paper Smooches Swanky Snowdudes set to use with these wonderful snow-themed papers.

For my second card I decided to use the sentiment card as the focus; adding the white and red cardstock behind it and then some hand drawn stitching lines to complete the card.

There are still a few days left to get in on this fun challenge....

Please make sure your creation post has a link back to Cuttin' and Stampin'.

Thanks for playing along we will be announcing the winners on December 13, 2013.

Weekly Challenge #48

Hi, this is Cheryl. I hope everyone is staying warm and dry. Here in Fort Worth we are under a Winter Storm Warning. We are expected to receive 1-2" of snow and ice overnight and have below freezing temperatures through Monday. Not the kind of weekend I am looking forward to. It took my husband almost two hours to get home and I was very happy to see him pull in the driveway. I am already ready for spring!

This week at Cuttin" and Scrappin', we are having a fun color challenge. We were all given the Bazzill Basics Nordic Pines paper collection and are using the colors kraft, red, black, and white.

There are so many nice papers in this collection that I really had a hard time deciding which ones to use. My creation is a top fold A2 size card with a 1/8" black mat under the designer paper. I used another piece of the paper for the snow slope and paper pieced both the snowman and girl. I really enjoyed making this sweet card!

Thank you for stopping by Cuttin" and Stampin' today. If you would like to visit their online store, please click here. We would also love for you to visit and "like" their Facebook page here.

Teresa R. here from Fresh and Renewed. I have been obsessed with coloring lately. I used snowflake Marci to highlight this lovely paper. I added a pop of green with her dress so she would really stand out! She will adorn my scrapbook room so I can just look at her during the season. I am so new to this cute little images and coloring I am not quite ready to give them all away! Enjoy!

My project uses three of these patterned papers and one of the cute journaling cards.  The adorable snowman from the Winter Groves set from Paper Smooches has been paper-pieced to add a plaid scarf.  The sentiment from the Sentiment Sampler set didn't quite fit horizontally on the journaling card, so I stamped the two words separately on different lines.

Weekly Challenge #47 - Monday

#47
Challenge:  Home for the Holidays

November 26th - December 2nd, 2013

Vickie Y from On The Fringe - We are going Home for the Holidays this week. All of our design team projects are using the Doodlebug Home for the Holidays collection and the Paper Smooches Winter Groves stamp set.

In addition to the Doodlebug Home for the Holidays designer paper, I used Crafter's Companion Ultra White cardstock to stamp the images from the Winter Groves stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I used Ballet Blue ink for the snowflakes.  A snowflake embossing folder and some holiday ribbon were also used for my Home for the Holidays card.  I accented the stamped background using a glue pen to create a hill of "snow" and sprinkling it with Ranger Distress Stickles Dry Glitter Clear Rock Candy.

Thanks for playing along we will be announcing the winners on December 6, 2013.
