Challenge:   Mother's Day 

Dates:  May 6-May 11,  2013

Hello everyone.  Tammy here with a card for MOM.  I started with a  sketch from Close to My Heart.  

The original dimensions had the card 5 X 7 and I cut it down to 5 X 6.  I created the tag 2 X 3.5  

I inked some flowers and layered them for the top of the tag.  I used the die cut from Jaded Blossom to to create the medallions for the banner and then another die cut in the set for the medallions down the edge.

I added some buttons and inked flowers to down the side.  

Mother's Day will be here soon.  Get your cards done early and enter them in for your chance to win.

Challenge:   Mother's Day

Hello! Mother's Day is the theme this week! If you're a Mother, let me wish you Happy Mother's Day! Mine has been gone since 1995 and not a day goes by that I wish I could just pick up the phone and call her or go see her. If you're a daughter, please know that while Moms can be a pain, they just have your back! I hope you appreciate yours. Give her a hug for me!!  I made a card today, and this was a challenge for me, since Mom is gone, but I'm going to give it to someone who has "adopted" me since she passed away and is always there for me! Take a look!

The sentiment is from a Close To My Heart set, titled Spring, and I used the bird, flowers, and butterflies from a package of K and Company die cuts. I stamped the sentiment in green, layered on a green cardstock, added two yellow brads, and put it all on a yellow card base. It does look like Spring is finally here! My special friend invited me to a Mother/Daughter Tea later this week, so I'm going to put a note inside thanking her for the invitation and give to her at the event. I know she'll cry! She used to own a flower shop, so I know she's gonna love the flowers! Now it's your turn! Get your Mom or special someone's card ready and enter it in the challenge!!

Weekly CHallenge # 17 - Saturday

Happy Birthday!! Janet here and today I made a birthday card for a child. A grandson that is turning 4 this month! I think he'll like it! Take a look then I'll tell you all about it!

Isn't this tiger the cutest? He wobbles! I think he'll like this card when he opens his present. This card was one from a Kanban Wobble Kit. There are almost 20 cards in this kit. The base pieces, a stabilizer between the front and back so it stands up nice, then all the pieces to make a variety of animals, and extra pieces such as the leaf and stars. They also make great accents on a scrapbook layout as well. I purchased it some time ago from HSN and came across the box recently.. my name is Janet and I'm a hoarder... LOL Anyway, now that we have 3 small grandchildren they're going to get used as cards or scrapbook embellishments. I stamped Happy Birthday inside and wrote a message to him. Challenge:   Children's Birthday

Hello All You Crafty People!
This is Teresa from CreateEnjoyShare  and it is my day to share a creation with you!
Our theme this week is "Children's Birthday" and it could not have come at a better time!  My sweet granddaughter Aubrey will turn 5 years old in early May and I wanted to create a couple of cards just for her.

 Yes, I created two cards to share!
Here is the first one!

My Granddaughters love  the LaLaLoopsey dolls and t.v. show and during a recent visit, I got to play dolls with them!  I knew she would love having a card with a LaLaLoopsey on it!
Thankfully, someone from one of the Silhouette groups I belong to shared this file with me.

It is a print and cut, meaning you print the picture on the computer then take it to your Cameo for cutting around it.
I added a "loopy" frame and also a background layer that I embossed.

LaLaLoopsey is elevated with foam squares for some dimension.

My original plan was to put her on an Action Wobble so she could
"dance" - but she was not wide enough to accommodate a wobble behind her!

Now allow me to share "Card Number Two" for Aubrey!
During our recent visit, we took a fun trip to the Children's Museum. My granddaughter was enjoying playing with a toy owl while we were there - and I told her maybe Grandma could get her one of her own sometime.

I could not find the EXACT owl but I did manage to purchase and send one and I wanted a card to represent that owl.

Again, the owl and the branch were cut using my Silhouette with two separate files from their store. This time the owl was large enough to put it on a Action Wobble, so he teeters back and forth on the branch.

I inked all the edges and folded the leaves to give them some shape and dimension.

"For Aubrey" was also done on the Silhouette using a gel pen!

Challenge:   Children's Birthday

Hello Everyone,  This is Tammy and I'm excited to show you a few great cards for kids birthdays.  I was playing with some Paper Smooches stamp sets and here's what I come up with.

The first one I used a svg file to cut the balloons.  I used some chalk in and used a spare circle to shape the clouds with some white chalk ink.  

Here's a card that I used the polka-dot stamp to create my own background.  I just love this puppy.  

I was trying to create card samples using the Paper Smooches stamps for the Scrapbook USA Expo in March.  I love how it turned out.

I've had a great time creating cards using these stamps.  Now's your chance to create your own children's card and enter our little challenge.
