Theme Day Thursday - Ornamental Iron 2

Hello Everyone,

Today is Theme Day Thursday and the My Cricut Craft Room design team has been working on projects that use Ornamental Iron 1 or 2 and/or  Paper Lace 1 or 2.  I really liked the Ornamental Iron cartridges so that's what I used.

I have to say that I really like the look of the floating picture frames with the black trim.  I stopped by Joann's the other day and wouldn't you know it, they had two left on the shelf for 1/2 price.  Who could resist?

I usually have a few on hand because I use them for all sorts of gifts.  The one gift I usually give at weddings is the frame with the couple's last name and the year.  But wouldn't you know it, I've never done one for myself.  I know one would look great on the wall with all the other pictures.

I used black vinyl and all of my pieces were cut from the Ornamental Iron 2 cartridge. If you don't want to spend the extra money on transfer tape, try wax paper.  It works great.

Here's the final picture that will go on the wall with the rest of my floating frames.

I have some black iron pieces form Home Interiors that have been framing the rest of my wall grouping.  Here's the picture hanging.  I don't think this is it's final spot, but I think you'll get the idea.

For more ideas using the Ornamental Iron and Paper Lace cartridges check out the rest of the design team's blogs by going to the My Cricut Craft Room.

Thanks for stopping by.
