Hello Everyone. Can you believe that it's October? WOW how time is flying by. Today is Theme Day Thursday at My Cricut Craft Room and the theme is APPLES. Who wouldn't love an apple?
Did you notice the PINK graphic above? The whole team at My Cricut Craft Room is glad to be apart of raising awareness of Breast Caner during the month of October. We want to encourage all women to preform self examinations and women over the age of 40 should be having annual mammograms. Yes, I've had my annual mammogram yesterday morning and I'm awaiting the results.
I have two different apple items that are being used as part of my companies Health and Wellness program. If you have anything like this going on at your work then you know just how crazy some of these things tend to get.
The name of our challenge was An Apple a Day. The idea is that each member of the team was to eat a full serving of fruits or vegetables during the time they are in the office. Before and after work doesn't count. Once you ate your serving, you place a fruit fuzzy into your teams jar. I used Recess to cut the apples and then Varsity Letter for the numbers. I glued the numbers together backwards. I used the middle part of the cut for the top layer instead of cutting the base in white and the outline in black. (This is an example of the wrong way to glue things together).
We had to keep actual tracking sheets as well. The little fuzzies seemed to end out all over the office. But everyone had fun playing with them.
After the game was over and we had a team of winners. I created gift card holders for each team member. We awarded two gift cards to each player. One for subway and the other for itunes. I used a Spellbinders die to cut out the gift card holders and glued them to the inside of the card.
For the outside I used Country Life for the apples and Street Signs for the "Winner" I honestly can't remember which font I used for Apple and Day. The "a's" I cut out were to large so I ended up using a stamp for that part.
Love this idea! So cute, Tammy!
