Tie a bow challenge

I wanted something really springy, feminine and fast for my card party invitations.  I tried to make a purse into a card on my gypsy and realized I just wasnt' that talented yet.  So I went to the local scrapbook store for more ideas.  I was surprised to find out that they had a room in the back full of die cuts that the customer can use for free if they purchased the paper their.  I found this shirt card die and figured I could make it work and then spent two hours looking for just the right paper and ribbon.  By the time I was done, I felt like I should have paid rent or a least bought them lunch for all their help.  I used three different paper patterns and mixed and matched the ribbon to create 25 invitations.  I used some tiny pearls for buttons.  I printed off labels with the party information for the inside to save time.

I like the invites that were made with single sided paper the best.

I figured I tied quite a few bows this weekend, so it would be good to enter them into the My Craft Spot Challenge #1.  The only problem is, I missed the deadline.  So here's to needing to get my work done a little sooner.

  2. VERY cute! And I agree- single sided makes a nice white "pop" against the print. Just popping by on the Gettin Cricky hop.
