Weekly Challenge #13 - Wednesday

#13
Challenge: Showers

Dates: April 2, 2013 to April 8, 2013

Good morning everyone, welcome to day two of our shower challenge. This is Tammy and I've been working on a card idea I received from a friend off Facebook. I'm in a group called Play Along and we have different challenges. This particular play along was called Box Card.

Here is a link to her awesome video explaining how to create the card.

So using her instructions and shower ideas of my own I created two different cards. The fist one the paper really talked to me and I just keep seeing shower with hearts.

For the life of me, I couldn't find a stamp set that said Showering or Shower and Me. So I hand wrote the title on the card. Then it just didn't look like I was imagining.

I did use a Paper Smooches stamp set with the word LOVE on it and embossed it in silver.

The second card is probably more of what you would think of when it comes to Showers. It's a Baby Shower Invite.

This time I used some ribbon to close it off and you just slip the ribbon off to get inside.

I really thought it needed a little dressing up so I stamped the hands and feet, colored them with a marker and then fussy cut them. If I was going to mass produce this card, I would definitely find a cut file for it.

I hope you take the time to visit Dawn's video and learn how to create this type of card. You are welcome to create any kind of card that relates to a SHOWER and enter it into this week's challenge.

We'd love you to link up and join our challenge!
