November 100 Cartridge Blog Hop

Hello Everyone,

This is the first weekend of the month and that means it's time for the My Cricut Craft Room's 100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop.  Each member of the design team is using at least four different cartridges to create holiday projects.

You should have arrived from SHARON'S BLOG.

If you just happen to stop by, start at the beginning and hop along to see all the great holiday projects.

I chose to work with Walk in My Garden, Gypsy Wanderings, Kate's ABC's and Sweater Weather.

My first project is labeling the pumpkin rolls that I make to give away.  I make about 40 rolls a year at Christmas along with many other kinds of goodies.  So I wanted a better way to label the pumpkin rolls.

I used the Walk in My Garden bread bag and label cuts.  Then I used the Gypsy Wandering for the pumpkin and Celebrate.  I used From My Kitchen for the roll.

I used some ribbon and just tied a bow around the top.

I was trying to create a simple Christmas Card that went with a stamp set I own.  I started with a regular kraft card base and stamped it with a snow background and added some glitter.  After that I stamped on the scene and used heat embossing powder to set it.  I cut the three snowflakes from Sweater Weather and popped them up with foam tape.

This picture is pretty bad.  The glare is keeping anyone from seeing the stamp, but it's a horse and sleigh with the words Dashing Through the Snow.

Here's a close up of the snow flake.  I used shimmering paper to cut both pieces of the flake.

This last card didn't turn out anything like I envisioned.  I wanted to have a gingerbread house with signs pointing to the house.  So I started with a card I embossed with a snow plate from A Muse Studio.  Then I used Winter Sky Splash to color the top of the card to look like the sky meeting the snow.

Then I cut the house from Kate's ABC's and used Ice Stickles to have a look of snow hanging on the roof, windows and yard signs.

I added some bling to look like Christmas lights on the roof line.

Here's the full card. Another one that will need to stay in the trial an error bin.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Your next stop is JESSICA'S BLOG

If you get side tracked along the way, here's a complete list of all the Saturday Stops.

  14. Cute Cards! Did you try taking the photo with the flash turned off, and a light from above to light up the embossing. That might help with the photo! Thanks for the inspirations.
