Weekly Challenge #27 - Tuesday

#27
Challenge:   Ice Cream
July 9 - 15, 2013

Kim Ross from Card-E-ology here with a brand new Cuttin and Stampin weekly challenge!

In 1984, President Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month.  We thought we'd celebrate these frosty treats with a challenge.  So go ahead and create something with ice cream, and share it with us!  We're looking for ice cream cones, banana splits, ice cream sandwiches, sundaes... show us your best!   (This post is making me crave something sweet!)

My card features the "Mac" line from Bazzill Basics patterned paper and matching border sticker.  The stamps are from the Paper Smooches Sugar Rush stamp set.  I absolutely love paper-pieced projects made with this ice cream cone.  I've seen so many cute ice cream "flavors" made with it!

Challenge:   Independence Day
July 2 - July 8, 2013

Happy 4th of July!

Please be careful if you're enjoying fireworks this week!
I used a file from www.creativekuts.com to make my 2 page layout today.
There's also a boy in the file but I know my granddaughter and her mother and I will be at a local parade and so I'll have girl photos to put here..
This paper is from an Americana stack that I've had stashed for quite some time but it's perfect for this layout!

Don't forget to link up your projects over at Cuttin and Stampin! I'd love to see how you celebrate the 4th of July! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful holiday as we celebrate our freedom!

Challenge:   Independence Day
July 2 - July 8, 2013

Hello Everyone, Tammy here from Life-Up, Down & Sideways.  I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July.  We were able to have a nice BBQ with the family.

I have a new Independence Day card for you.  I started with a sketch #300 from Mojo Monday.  Unfortunately, I didn't copy it close enough to enter the challenge.

I used the Freedom Paper Pack from Bazzill.  The sentiment stamp if from Jaded Blossom.  I curled the ends of the flag just a bit.  Then I outlined the star with some Liquid Glass from CTMH.

Challenge 26 Independance Day

#26
Challenge:   Independence Day
July 2 - July 8, 2013

Pam here with a little 4th of July inspiration!
I made these festive popcorn boxes for my neighbor's
4th of July party. I used the Mini Popcorn Box by Cali Arroyo
and the July Charms by Snapdragon snippets. (I added 4th to the july charm)
available from the Silhouette Online Store
The white paper is Bazzill Basics, the patterned paper is
the Freedom line also by Bazzill. I also used red shear ribbon.

Hope you enjoy! Can't wait to see what you come up with for Independence Day!!!

Weekly Challenge #26-Tuesday

#26
Challenge:   Independence Day
July 2 - July 8, 2013

Teresa R. here from Fresh and Renewed. I decided to make a little home decor project for you today.

A close up of one of the flower clusters

Supplies:
Straw wreath
Material Strips cut 3"x 18"
Accent Essentials Cricut Cartridge
Pearl Spray Mist
Straight Pins
Bazzill 4th of July printed paper
Various red, white, and blue ribbon

Step 1: I wrapped the wreath with the printed material strips and pinned them onto the straw form.

Step 2: Cut 4 different size/patterns of 6 petal flowers from Accent Essentials.

Step 3: Layer together and begin scrunching and folding to create the rumpled look of the flower. Layer another flat flower of similar or contrasting color in the middle and secure all with a brad.

Step 4: Make various size bows with ribbon and pin in place.

Step 5: Pin paper flowers to the wreath form.

Hope you enjoy! Can't wait to see what you come up with for Independence Day!!!
