You Should have arrived from Jessica S blog

For this hop I chose to highlight boy/guy cartridges.  Beep Beep, Handyman and B is for Boys.  I went this route because my son just finished his Auto Mechanics education.  He is no longer just a guy running around in Rescue 1 (my mustang), fixing cars when ever people call.  He is officially a business owner and OPEN for business.

I started with a tow truck.  I cut the base of the truck twice, once in black and then in yellow.  The black layer was to give it depth.

I just love these 3D foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives.  I use them for everything.

I used a house on the Handyman cartridge for the garage.  I hid the door and window cuts on my gypsy.  All garage’s need a shinny door so I used shimmery gray paper  and added texture with this sizzix folder.  Here’s what the plate’s texture looks like on paper with a white core.

It’s a little harder to see on the gray and I will be using it to back a photo, but I liked how it turned out.  I don't recommend cutting the tools from the Handyman cartridge any smaller then 1.5 inches.  They can be a little difficult to work with.

I just had to use the keys off the B is for Boy cartridge.  We had a few of these sets around the house when Mike was real young and he started his for real key ring when he started sixth grade.  He's never with out them or a pocket knife.

I used a brad that looks like a screw to hang the OPEN sign on.
Here’s the whole layout.  Very simple and can accommodates three larger pictures.  I wanted to fine some place for more of the green diamond plate paper, so I may make changes in the future.  For now, I wish my son the best of luck in his new adventures of owning his own business.
