Weekly Challenge #23-Thursday

#23
Challenge:   Father's Day
June 11 - 17, 2013

Happy Thursday Everyone-
So glad you dropped by to see what I created to inspire you today.
I found these items when I was going through some heritage items I inherited. This is my father's Bachelor's of Science diploma and his college graduation photo. So, I thought this would be a nice layout to do to honor my father for Father's Day AND a bonus idea for graduation photos, which I am sure some of you out there have.

Thanks again for checking out the blog today!
I hope I have inspired you to honor your father's or get some graduation photos in your albums!

Have a great week!!

Challenge:   Father's Day
June 11 - 17, 2013

Hello All You Crafters!
Father's Day is sneeking up on us and the Challenge this week at Cuttin and Stampin is to create a Father's Day Project.
This is Teresa, from Create Enjoy Share with a couple of simple and quick Father's Day Cards to share.
I've seemed to misplaced my crafty MoJo recently, so quick and simple is what is working for me lately.
Let's take a quick look at my cards - and I would then love for you to hop over to my blog at
www.CreateEnjoyShare.blogspot.com  for more details and more photos.
You're a Classic -
This fast and furious card was made from a super easy file from the Silhouette store.  I decided to
use the Silhouette sketch pen to do the writing inside the card.  LOVE that the Cameo can do that!

My second Father's Day card is a shirt and tie shape card.  I love the way the tie tucks in under
the collar!  My photos do not do it justice since I am having camera issues on top of the MoJo issues!

Do you have your Father's Day projects completed yet or are you a last minute crafter?

Challenge: Father's Day

June 11 - 17, 2013
Hi Everyone, Doris here to share a project for this week's challenge - Father's Day.  Did you ever have an idea in your head for a project and knew just what you wanted to do, but it just didn't turn out the way you hoped?  Yeah, that was me this week.  I wanted to make a new version of a paper folded card for my husband that I made a few years ago, but no matter how I tried, it just wasn't working.  So, I turned to my new toy, the Silhouette Cameo, and found a similar version to share with you today.

Now, you may laugh at my choice of colors and patterns, but my husband has this thing about blue shirts - he loves them, and most years at least one of the kids will get him a new blue shirts for Father's Day mixed with some other bold color.  This was such a quick little card to make, and I really like how the Silhouette will make the perferation lines as well so I knew just where to fold everything, which was my problem with the first version I tried making.
Ok, your turn - show us your Father's Day projects, and please be
sure your blog post has a link back to us.
Winners will be announced June 28, 2013.

Challenge:   Graduation
June 4 - 10, 2013

Hello Crafty Friends.  This is Tammy for a second day with another Graduation card.

This one I created for my nephew Weston.  He graduated from Stansbury High and the logo for the school is a stallion coming through a horseshoe.  So I wanted the card to represent the the school.

I started with a horseshoe and used silver stickles to fill the holes.

I cut a hat and used CTMH Clear Glass to ad a little sparkle to the tassel.  I tilted it so that it looks like it's hanging off the horseshoe.

Here's the whole card

Here's the inside.  The backside of the blue SHS paper is the black and white polk a dots.

I had to put a few more cards together real quick for other graduates.  I like to make the cards match the school colors so that's why they are purple and blue.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Be sure to enter your graduation creations to the challenge blog

Challenge: Graduation
June 4 - 10, 2013

Hello Crafty Friends,

This week we are celebrating all those that are Graduating. So this week we are bringing you so great Graduation cards.

My card for today is for a young lady that is graduating from High School. Jacie was a Cheerleader during her years and I wanted to recognize that. So I started with a great digi cheerleader and used copic markers to color her red and black.

I wanted it to look like the Cheerleader had the graduation cap on, but I think I cut it to small.

I used CTMH Clear Glass to brighten the pom-poms and tassel.
Here's what I've done on the inside.
Now it's your turn to share your Graduation Creations.
